Introduction to Digital Cameras

Digital cameras have transformed the way we capture, store, and share photographs. Unlike traditional film cameras, digital cameras use electronic sensors to record images, offering instant previews, large storage capacity, and easy transfer to computers or mobile devices. Their versatility has made them indispensable tools for photography enthusiasts, professionals, and everyday users alike.

How Digital Cameras Work

At the core of every digital camera is an image sensor, such as a CCD (Charge-Coupled Device) or CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) sensor. When light passes through the camera lens, it hits the sensor, which converts the light into electrical signals. These signals are then processed by the camera’s internal processor and stored as digital image files.
